COURSE FOCUS: A critical investigation of the position and category of women from a cross-cultural, historical and interdisciplinary perspective, with special emphasis on controversies, dilemmas, major themes and issues in women’s studies. Prerequisite: junior standing or permission. This course may be used to satisfy the diversity requirement. Physical Structure of the Course On the World Wide Web COURSE LOCATIONS The course has four locations: 1) at the Blackboard location for this class, you will find the Forum, a place to post some of the assignments, feedback for graded work, and your grades; 2) at the course web site, you will find lessons, assignments, and the course plan; 3) at Second Life, where one of the assignments will be performed. All work is online and asynchronous--you do not need to meet online with the class at any particular time. (For more information, see the Course Plan.)
