COURSE FOCUS: A critical investigation of the position and category of women from a cross-cultural, historical and interdisciplinary perspective, with special emphasis on controversies, dilemmas, major themes and issues in women’s studies.
Prerequisite: junior standing or permission.
This course may be used to satisfy the diversity requirement.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: In addition to reading most of the selections in this textbook, you will be watching numerous online videos, actively participating in an online text-based forum, taking two exams, participating in a research project, and (from that project) contributing to an online class museum.
